OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!
4 days left of school!!!!!!!! CRAZY!!!
Anyways, as I was saying earlier, about my funny story...
Ok, so yesterday we had a track meet at Burnsville H.S... so we don't even start races yet, and guys pole vault had just started when the announcer says that EVERYBODY has to get off the field immediately and go in the gyms right away. Ok, fine. So we did. Apparently there was lightning, and according to the "book", we can't run for a half hour after the last sighting of lightning. Ok, fine. So after about 20-25 min, they start getting everybody out of the school and back torwards the gate to the track... as soon as some kid tried to go back on the track, this guy came up and yelled at him because we wern't supposed to go on the track for another 5 minutes or so. So during those 5 minutes, they had us standing underneath the MEDAL bleechers because apparently the RUBBER track wasn't safe to run on for another 5 minutes yet... are we really that much safer 2 feet away from the track on cement underneath the bleechers than on the track.?? I think not. So, in that waiting time, my mom called me asking what I was doing, in the locker room so early.... LOL and I'm like, well, I'm definately not in the locker room, I'm at a meet and yadda yadda yadda I told her the story. Anyways, she said that there was more bad weather comming our way. So we all get back on the track, and my this time, they had made an announcement that they were gonna vault the boys and girls together. Ok fine. We only got 15 minutes to warm up, and I was about to take my first run through, when they saw more lightning, and had us all go back inside once again. So, then the meet was about an hour behind schedule and we'd be there all night long. So, to make this shorter, meet was cancelled and traffic getting home was horrible... the music booster award night thingy started at 7, and we pulled into Cooper at 6:50 and I'm still in my track uniform. So I drive home, change, and leave.
OK, so I over-did the story, and the punch-line was in the middle...and it really wasn't that funny... I got a little carried away... LOL Guess ya had'ta be there!
ttyl! w/love, Becca
